The passion of one man

• "They are too difficult!" That is what Dr. Lionel Gurney was told when he was asked why Muslims bordering the Red Sea region were neglected 

• In 1943 he heard God’s call to work among them. He shared this vision with others and in 1952 the ‘Red Sea Mission Team’ was founded. Its motto was: 'Islam Shall Hear' – a proclamation of bold faith that Muslims everywhere would hear the Gospel

• The main focus of the Red Sea Mission Team was sharing the Gospel and providing practical help

• In 2008 we changed our name to 'ReachAcross', and changed our motto to 'Helping Muslims Follow Jesus'

Our vision is to see Muslims throughout the world becoming devoted followers of Jesus Christ. God has given us the immense privilege of working together with Him in this task, and in serving Muslims in many practical ways
