You plan to be involved in cross-cultural ministry to Muslims for a significant part of your life. You are ready for in-depth training.

 

 

We seek to ensure that you are adequately prepared...

 

Being a witness

Having adequate Bible knowledge and a personal faith is vital.  Normally a worker is expected to have taken evangelism, discipleship and church planting courses. 

 

Target language

Knowing a language well makes such a difference! A miniimum of two full years studying the target language is required.

 

Cultural adaptation

Learning how to understand, appreciate, and adapt to other cultures - this can be a real challenge. Good courses are available to help. You will be expected to take such training.

 

Islamics

From 'our birth' in 1951, ReachAcross was brought into being by God to work exclusively among Muslims (See History). Courses in Islamics are essential.

 

Team player

Are you able to work well with others? - other Christians that is! Do you understand your gfitings? Your strengths and weaknesses? How you best fit into a team? Some training is necessary.

 

Professional qualifications

In most 'creative access' countries a skill or profession is needed - often essential for visa purposes. It's important to enjoy your profession, and seek to excel at it.

 

Support team

It's important that people regularly pray for you. If your work does not provide adequate income, you will need those that support you financially. We will help you raise a support team for prayer and finances. Your Home Church or Fellowship should be an essential part of your support team.
